the rain in my ears

the sound of rain

lingers in my ears

i wonder what ive been

doin all these years

so much pain

so much hurt

yet so little gain

love fills this room

and my head goes blank

i feel like a tree

now suddenly i feel like a plank

lost track of time

while i was in my prime

is that such a crime

its all just sublime
